How introverted am I?
Twelve everyday statements about energy, company and thinking. You see where you sit between more introverted and more extraverted, plus a few practical ideas. It is a reflection, not a test.
A reflection, not a diagnosis. Personality is not a disorder, and this page is not a validated psychometric instrument. The statements were written for this page.

How the reflection works
The twelve statements are split across three everyday areas: how you feel after company, how you feel in busy places, and how you think and talk. In each area, half of the statements describe a quieter pattern and half a more social one, so answering "yes" to everything does not push you to either end. Your answers are added up into a place on the spectrum, and each area gets a short note of its own.
There are three plain-words results: more introverted energy, somewhere in the middle (ambivert-ish) and more extraverted energy. There are no scores to compare with other people and no cut-offs with a clinical meaning.
What introversion and extraversion describe
The terms describe where people tend to get their energy from. Introverted energy patterns lean toward quiet, one-to-one time and thinking things through alone. Extraverted patterns lean toward company, activity and talking things out. Many of us sit somewhere in the middle, and how you feel can change with the day, the people and the place. Our guides on introversion and the ambivert go into more detail.
Introversion is not shyness
Being introverted is about where you recharge. Shyness is about feeling uneasy around other people. You can be one without the other, which is why introvert vs shy is worth a read if you are unsure which one you recognise.
How to use your result
- Treat it as a starting point. A different mood or week could give a different result. That is normal.
- Use the by-area notes. They are often more useful than the overall band, because they show where your energy goes.
- Plan around it. If company costs you energy, plan recovery time. If quiet stretches feel flat, plan something with people in it.
- Do not use it as a limit. A tendency describes what feels natural, not what you are able to do.
Questions about the introvert reflection
How introverted am I?
This page gives you a place on a spectrum from more introverted to more extraverted, based on twelve statements you rate. It is a reflection on your own energy patterns, not a measurement, and your result could be different on another day.
Is this a real personality test?
No. It is not a validated psychometric instrument, and it does not copy any published questionnaire. The statements were written for this page to help you think about how you recharge.
Is being introverted a disorder?
No. Personality is not a disorder, and introversion is not something to fix. It describes where a person tends to get their energy. If you are struggling with how you feel, a GP, doctor or licensed therapist can help.
What does ambivert mean?
An ambivert is someone whose energy sits between the two ends: sometimes recharged by company, sometimes by quiet. The middle result on this page is described as ambivert-ish for that reason. See our guide to the ambivert.
Can my result change?
Yes. Energy shifts with the week you have had, the people around you and where you are. Take the reflection again on a different day and see whether the picture holds.
