A simple habit tracker, no sign-up

Type up to five habits and tick the days you did them. Your ticks stay in this browser, week by week, and Share turns your weekly streak into an image.

How to use the habit tracker

Type up to five habits, or keep the examples. Tick a box on each day you did the habit; the count next to it shows how many days this week that was. Use the arrows to look back at earlier weeks or ahead to the next one.

Your ticks are saved in this browser only, under the week they belong to, Monday to Sunday. There is no account and nothing is sent to us. Under the grid you see your streak: the weeks in a row with at least one tick. Press Share to turn it into an image you can post, send or save.

Choosing habits that stick

Why a weekly view

A long chain of days breaks the first time you are busy or away, and a broken chain makes it tempting to stop. A week starts fresh every Monday. Four ticks out of seven is a good week for a new habit, and you can see it at a glance instead of counting back through a calendar.

Look at the week on Sunday evening. If a habit got no ticks, make it smaller rather than trying harder: ten pages can become five, a walk can become a lap of the block.

Questions about the habit tracker

Where are my ticks saved?

Only in this browser, on this device. Clearing your browsing data removes them. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to sign up for.

Can I use it on my phone and my laptop?

Each browser keeps its own copy, so pick one device for ticking, ideally the one you have with you in the evening.

How many habits should I track?

Fewer than you think. Two or three that you actually do will tell you more than five you keep skipping. There is room for five so you can try one out.

Why does the week start on Monday?

The tracker follows ISO week numbers, which run Monday to Sunday and keep the weekend together. The week number is shown when you look further back or ahead.

Can I share my habit tracker?

Yes. Press Share under the tracker and you get an image with your streak, this week's ticks and the habits you ticked most, ready to post, send or save. The ticks themselves stay in this browser.
