How the planner works

You give it four things: when you wake up and go to bed, the days and hours you work or study, how much me time you want, and a day for a solo outing. It builds seven days from those, with a morning, your work, an evening and a quiet wind-down before bed. Then it finds room for you.

Me time goes where it is most likely to survive. On a free day it comes in the morning, before errands and plans fill the day. On a work day it sits just before you wind down, after dinner and the jobs that cannot wait. The planner spreads it out, so there is no long stretch of days with nothing for you in them.

The outing day gets a few hours out on your own, with one concrete idea at an easy level. You can swap the idea, share the week as an image, or add the me-time blocks and the outing to your calendar for the next four weeks.

What each block is for

Why put me time in the plan at all

Unplanned time tends to go to whoever asks first. A block with a start and an end is easier to protect, and easier to say no around: "I have something at nine" is true. It also stops me time from turning into scrolling, because you decided in advance what it is for.

Keep the blocks small at first. Two hours a week that actually happen are worth more than six that keep moving.

Questions about planning a weekly routine

What makes a good weekly routine?

One you can keep on a normal week, not your best one. A steady wake-up and bedtime anchor everything else; the rest can stay loose.

How much me time should I plan?

Start with what you would really protect. Two hours is a fine first week. If it holds, try four.

What if my hours change every week?

Plan the coming week each Sunday with that week's hours. It takes a minute, and the page address keeps your settings, so a bookmark brings them back.

Does the calendar file repeat?

Yes. It adds your me-time blocks and the solo outing for the next four weeks, at the same time each week. You can delete any of them in your calendar app.

Do you store my schedule?

No. The plan is made in your browser and nothing is sent to us.
