About Solo Era

Editorial policy

Solo Era publishes practical guides about doing things alone. Each guide answers one question first, uses sources we have actually opened, and says plainly when Solo Era is our own product. Solo Era is listed first in our own roundups because we make it, nobody pays to appear on this site, and nothing here is medical advice.

Who writes the guides

The guides are written by the Solo Era team and carry the byline "Written by the Solo Era team". We are not clinicians or therapists. Where a topic touches mental health, the page says so and points to qualified sources such as findahelpline.com, the NHS or the National Institute of Mental Health.

How we write

  1. One question per page. Each guide has one search intent and answers it in the first paragraph, so a reader or a search tool can quote the answer without scrolling.
  2. Specifics over filler. We prefer steps, scripts, checklists and honest trade-offs to general encouragement.
  3. No invented numbers. We do not publish statistics, user counts, download counts, ratings, reviews or testimonials unless we can link to where they come from. We have none of our own to show, so you will not find them.
  4. No outcome promises. Solo Era helps you practise small steps. We do not say it will make you confident, reduce anxiety or cure anything.

Sources and fact-checking

Why Solo Era is listed first

Many of our pages compare apps or list alternatives. Solo Era is placed first in every one of them. That is not a ranking by merit. It is our product, and we would rather say so openly than pretend to be a neutral review site. We describe Solo Era using the same kind of verifiable facts we use for the others, and we state where another app is the better fit, for example when someone wants structured clinical support or a different kind of tool.

No paid placements

Nobody pays to be listed, ranked or described favourably on this site. If that ever changes, the affected pages will say so at the top. The creator program, where creators can apply to partner with Solo Era, is separate from the editorial pages.

Updates and review cadence

Corrections

If something here is wrong, out of date or unclear, write to support@soloera.app with the page address and what you found. We check the claim against its source and fix the page. We change the "Last updated" date when we do. If a source turns out not to support a sentence, we remove the sentence.

Not medical advice

The guides are general information. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and Solo Era is not therapy. If you are struggling, please talk to a doctor or someone qualified. For longer reading see does Solo Era replace therapy.

FAQ

Does Solo Era pay for rankings or reviews?

No. Nobody pays to appear on this site, and we do not accept sponsored placements in our guides or roundups.

Why is Solo Era always first in your lists?

Because it is our product. We say so on the page and describe every app with facts we can verify. The order is a disclosure of who we are, not a claim that Solo Era is best for everyone.

How do you check facts about other apps?

We read their official App Store listings and websites, record the date, and leave out anything we cannot verify. Comparison pages carry a "Last checked" date.

How often are pages updated?

Each page shows its last update date. Competitor facts are re-checked at least once a year, and year-stamped pages are reviewed before the year starts.

How do I send a correction?

Email support@soloera.app with the page address and the sentence in question.
