Barcelona suits a slow solo day: a long lunch, a plaza bench, a museum in the quiet part of the afternoon and a concert or film in the evening. Build your day around your pace rather than a checklist, and use the free-entry windows below to keep costs down. Some prices and times are published on official pages and are listed here with sources; where an official page gives none, we name the place only.
For the general how-to, see things to do alone in a new city; for cinemas and restaurants, see going to the cinema alone and eating alone at a restaurant. Here we stay with Barcelona specifics. Bar counters and tapas bars suit one diner in general, but we name no specific venue.
